Accounts 2 Checkbook App Reviews

This would have been a great app if only you can look ahead of your finances. But it only shows you the current balance. Im the one who wants to see 2 wks or 1 month ahead of my finances to make sure im not overspending & Im able to pay bills on time. It would have been great if this had that addtl feature to make better use of the recurring transactions.

Loved this app. But ever since updating to the latest version of IOS, the app crashes every time. Bummer.

Neat clean layout. Easy to enter, and categorize, recurring items. The developers really thought this through. My one request: When several entries have the same date, credits should be listed before debits, matching the banks posting order.

Have been successfully using IReconcile for several years and it has been terrific however over the past year growing glitches in the program and the non-support from the developer caused me to look for a replacement. It looks like I have found it in Accounts2. One feature however that is missing is an ability to look ahead for a month to view how the recurring entries are affecting various account balances. This is the only thing that I am trying to adjust to and feel is a shortcoming of this program.

Love the speed of entry, its so fast. And the +- ease of access Thanks for hiding your review button. I appreciate you not shoving it down my throat. And the software is great. Im switching over to you guys.

I love the app with the exception of three things... First, it would be nice to see which items have been previously reconciled when looking at all transactions, given transactions dont typically clear my bank account in order. Second, if there was a feature where recurring transactions could be manually checked, rather than automatically checked on the selected date. Lastly, it would be great to see the last date reconciled, with ending balance included. This way if the account doesnt balance, there is a starting place to find the error.

Absolutely loved this app for a long time, until iOS 10. Since the iOS 10 release the iCloud sync between devices has not worked properly. We are now 2 months from 10 being released and the issue has yet to be fixed. Outside of that the app is set up nicely. It would be nice to be able to organize the transactions in whichever order, but it is not a deal breaker.

Making a long story short , It is simply great. Have not seen any defects.

I just started setting my stuff up in the app and so far it has everything I need. I have used iReconcile for about 4 years and started having trouble with recurring entries. I was so disappointed to find that there was no support available and the latest update was 2013. So many checkbook apps have stopped being supported by their developer. I was leery that this one hasnt been updated recently but there were recently posted good reviews so I took a chance. There are a couple of things I would like to see updated: it would be nice if the payee/payer field and category field would autofill. I would like to add more categories but do not want to scroll around each time I enter something.

I would have given this five stars except for the fact that it took some time to sync via iCloud correctly. The balances on my iPad and phone did not equal for about 3 days no matter how many time I did the sync process. All seems well now.

It would be great if the foreign currency could be converted to the base currency and be added to the total.

This used to be the best checkbook app in the App Store, but now it appears to be abandoned by the developer. It hasnt had a update in over a year, the developer isnt replying to emails and the iCloud sync does not work. Save your money and find another app.

Well I have tried most and this is by far the best most updated checkbook app for those that still use a check book. I personally dont want it in same app as ccs. Really like the iCloud sync so my phone and iPad are always up to date.

(I’m not associated w/ developer) (Review updated after 5 months using this app). I switched to Accounts2 from an older, 2012 app that was no longer supported. (I hung on for a long time, but the older app finally crashed my phone). I am pleasantly surprised with Accounts2: the initial entering of accounts was smooth, corrections are simple, and my accounts are in order. The transition was easy, and I am able to keep up to the moment tabs on my spending. I do manual entry on everything I spend, so I can tell if I am close on a credit card or my bank account, but the app stores my "normal" entries so I just type a few letters, and it gives my a list of possibilities. I dont think it will link to my accounts like Mint, but I dont want it to, because I do most of my shopping on 2 or 3 days between paychecks, and any lag will have me spending more than I have (or at least more than I meant to spend.. I suspect that I will continue to use Accounts2 for a long time (as long as the developer supports it), because it is so easy to use day-to-day, so I don’t spend money I don’t really have. Nice Work!

I have tried many check ledger apps but this is the best of all. Works perfectly and syncs with my iPad and iPhone easily. Only wish there was a iMac addition to sync to the computer.

I have been using this app since 2008 and love it. I wish customer service was better, but the app itself is great. Had to figure out for myself how to get one of the features to work when it suddenly no longer functioned the same because CS was worthless. Only feature I wish it would do that has not happened since I first downloaded it is edit what account a transaction is listed under. If you accidentally add a transaction under the wrong account, instead of doing a quick update you must delete it and re-enter it under the new account.

Love it! However the syncing doesnt work as they explain. Doesnt upload on my iPad like they say its supposed.

As usual..... This app rocks! I have been using it for years and its always been reliable and safe. Needs a new icon and apple watch support. Then it would be perfect. Need an electronic checkbook? Look no further!
