Accounts 2 Checkbook App Reviews

I really enjoy this app. It is easy to use and I like the fact that you can store a picture of your receipt with the transaction. My only suggestion would be to somehow link it with Apple Pay so that it would automatically enter the transaction info whenever Apple Pay is used.

I previously gave this 5 stars because the app itself is great and I thought I found the solution to the syncing problem. What worked before does not work anymore. The app is great but I can never trust it to sync. This has become a single device app for me now. From reading the reviews and seeing no response to this issue, its apparent that I need to find something else in order to share data on different devices. Too bad, because I really like this app.

I have been using this app for several years now. Lately when I do the backup to iCloud when restoring the data it is not what should be there. Tonight the cleared data only went to Nov 15. Only entries showing after that are the recurring. No other data input since then was restored.

Ive tried several checkbook register apps and this one is, by far, the best. It does everything I need it to do. 3/30/16 It is still the best checkbook app Ive tried, but when I enter a new transaction, and want to put in a date that is different than the current one, the date wheel is glitchy. It goes to a different year, it has two of the same months instead of a month before and after them. This can be very frustrating if the glitch isnt caught while recording the transaction. The record isnt readily visible because it is recorded in a different year.

This is great app for replacing a check register but does much more than you might expect. The simplicity make the app very attractive. One thing that would help very much would be to anticipate the most common mistakes and give appropriate warnings. This might include questioning entries that are out of the normal such as date entry in the past or amounts that vary significantly.

Final Review: 1 April. Developer is not responsive at all after months of requests for help. Apple should take this off the store and not seek anymore since support is nonexistent. TOTAL AND COMPLETE ABANDONWARE! 29 Dec., 2015: Sorry folks, go somewhere else. Developer has not responded to any issues in months and the app is broken. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS APP! Earlier: Well it has now been well over two months since iOS9 and the app is still broken and I have still yet to hear any response to my numerous email requests for help. Id advise you not to waste time or money buying this. Earlier review: Absolutely no response from the developer about the export issue in iOS 9. I guess this means Im gonna hafta look for another solution for my mobile finances. Too bad. Used to be a five star app. Ive emailed support six times in the past month. No response at all! This stinks. Somethings wrong with the app and iOS 9 as the qif exporting results in blank data and I can no longer import into my desktop banking app. Support has abandoned us. Walk away from this app. Back to one star.

I have used this app for years, and it does just what I need, without complicated extras. I used to have syncing problems, vowing to switch, but never finding an app I liked as much, I never did. Finally though the syncing seems to work seamlessly for the last few months. I didnt even have a problem after updating to the latest iOS!! (a first for a problem free update). At last! I can truly say now this app is great, and I can stop thinking of switching.

Well here I am using my 4th checkbook app in 3 months. All were highly rated. Each one had draw backs that were important to me. Last one worked fine but it bugged me that I couldnt see a running total so I decided to look further and found this app which seems to have all the elements that are important to me. Running total, I can read the check numbers from register, syncs great with my iPad, I can convert it to pdf and email it, recurring transactions and added bonus- remembers repeated transactions and check numbers. This is the first app Ive tried that has all of these. And nice simple interface dont change it! One thing I would like to see is being able to make acct transfers as recurring transactions but hey you cant have everything and not a deal breaker for me. Great job Accounts 2!

I really like this app in many ways, however the recurring transaction feature does not allow for categorizing the expense. If the app had that feature I would certainly give it five stars.

This is truly a great app. Very useful. But it would be truly awesome if it could generate a PDF for each category and/or export an Xcel sheet for each category. How useful it would be for tax returns!

This app has kept me from overdrawing checking account. Finally I dont need to worry about bank fees. I would like to be able to see all outstanding check in one option.

I have been a heavy user of Accounts2 for over three years now. Great app. Syncing between multiple devices can be a little tricky though. Some request, when entering split transactions, the on screen keyboard always block the transaction being entered (if on bottom half of screen) and the summary view. I would also like to have split screen support to help speed up my data entry and verification. Thanks.

I have been using the lite version for a few weeks and love this app. I just bought the paid version and its worth every penny! I love the simplicity and user friendly format of this app.

I love the concept of this but it is a pain in my butt trying to sync it up between my iPad and iPhone. I finally gave up -- turned iCloud off and settled to just have it on my iPad. Less stressful! Shouldnt have to settle...

It helps me keep up with expenses. Would be great if I could link this app to the same on my husbands iPhone

So easy to use! It saves all the category information so you can really track spending . No need to get a register that you use for one day. This is always with you and you know exactly how much money you have .

Ive used Quicken for 16 years, its packed with features and options that are hard to beat but I dont use them anymore. Jumping on the iPad wagon as my go to device I started looking for apps that would replace my Windows applications and simplify my life and record keeping. If Quicken had a stand a lone app instead of a sync app to the desktop application I probably would have used it. Accounts2 checkbook is perfect just what I was looking for. Its simple easy to use and captures the basic info you need to track all of your accounts, checking, credit cards, 401K. Accounts2 also provides a few basic reports showing income and expenses by category which are simple easy to read and understand. Backing up your data is simple too, email it to yourself and save it or use iCloud sync. The only feature I would like to see added is a bill reminder. Maybe it could be added to the reoccurring transactions. For now I use Apples Reminder app. Also look at this developers Debt reduction app. No one wants to retire with loads of debt but this app demonstrated I could be debt free including no mortgage. What a relief! Thanks for simplifying my life.
